An eruv is a thin wire installed around an area to permit carrying and similar activities on the Shabbat in places where they would otherwise be prohibited.
The Los Angeles Community Eruv (LA Eruv) was built to enhance the experience of Shabbos in our community. Increased togetherness, better access to shul, additional options for the young and elderly – all are facilitated by an eruv.
